It's been a long while since we last updated everyone, but now that the entire campaign has been fulfilled, we'd like to give our warmest thanks and appreciation for making Dwellings a reality.

This was not news anyone wanted, but we take our commitment to delivering Dwellings of Eldervale to backers before retail release seriously.

US Fulfillment
We, Breaking Games (an Admagic company), essentially chose ourselves to fulfill the thousands of US orders for Dwellings of Eldervale. Blackbox, the company overseeing all the fulfillment partners across the globe, is now our sister company and has gone through significant transition in the process. Transition always comes with some learning. Two examples: a few backers received an email accidently triggered back when the US fulfillment first started and notification emails were not being sent initially. Both issues have been fixed!
As announced above, the US fulfillment of Dwellings of Eldervale has been significantly affected by pandemic related factors, including workplace restrictions. Despite challenging circumstances, the US fulfillment team has worked hard and shipped 2,879 orders that include 9,368 items!
What is a tier? You may have seen the word "tier" in a shipping notice or elsewhere. A tier is all orders with a specific set of items. Each tier was packed and shipped as a group. Tiers are numbered starting with Tier 1 - the largest group of orders. Tier 1 (482 orders) shipped first. Tiers 1 through 22 have been shipped. Tiers 23 to 133 are yet to ship with each of those tiers containing less than 10 orders each.
NOTE: Tiers 1 thru 22 had roughly 50 orders that were temporarily set aside for different issues. Those issues are resolved and the orders shipped this week.
General questions are welcome via email (hello AT breakinggames DOT com), but that inbox is very full right now. Expect delayed replies until we can clear thru a lot of messages.
If you are reporting missing/broken components, know that there is currently a significant delay in response, but all reports will be addressed. Pictures are required for all damaged/broken items. Issues causing games to be unplayable will be addressed first in order received. Then, remaining requests will be addressed in order received. Thank you for your patience!
On the Hunt
Our last Update announced the start of the Asking for Trobils campaign. The new campaign has a Trobil-ing-ly all ORANGE big box, and more. Chaotic Companions, JJ and Zilk, are the current Stretch Goal being unlocked. Can you guess what sci-fi characters these companions are an homage to?

US Fulfillment
We're halfway done with the US! If you haven't received yours yet, it's coming. Trust me, I know how you feel, I still haven't gotten mine yet :)
US Shipment notifications hit a snag, but should now be getting through. That said, signing up for a free FedEx account will get you notification of all packages coming your way by FedEx and give you quick access to the first steps in addressing shipping issues.
All who have submitted a form will get a response. All requests are being responded to in order they were received. We are quite behind, but no delay in receiving parts has occurred. We are still a ways off from shipping any replacement parts. We will be starting in at some point after US fulfillment is done. We may need to contact our manufacturing partners to get parts. That assessment is yet to be done. We need to get the bulk of the games delivered first. Once we do begin to ship replacement parts, our top priority will be to make all games playable, then we will address issues that do not affect playability. Thank you all for your patience.

If you've seen the internet in the past couple days, you will have discovered that THE PORTAL HAS OPENED! While the dragons of the Great North were technically the first to traverse the element of water, the Wizards at Spiral Galaxy were first to teleport copies to UK and Europe. SHIPPING STATUS
All of our copies are shipping or about to ship, but to cover the specifics:
UK/Europe/ROW - started shipping last week, packages arriving! Spiral Galaxy has sent many many games, and is down to the last hundred or so orders, which are mostly more complex customs cases.
CANADA - started shipping! D6 has just put packages in the mail!
AUS WAVE 1 - started shipping! Aetherworks is about to send out packages!
ASIA - VFI has inventory and is about to start! Should be any day now!
USA - Breaking Games has inventory, and is projecting a start at the end of the month, currently finishing several other fulfillment jobs. We'll keep you posted when they begin!

SPECIAL NOTE FOR AUSTRALIA
If I've learned anything from the last couple weeks, it is that there's never a dull moment in freight logistics. No matter how much you plan, things can and do happen. We have dodged a couple of things, only to run into a pretty big issue re: some of the AUS/NZ inventory - specifically relating to our Legendary Elemental cover copies. Sadly, some of them went to the wrong destination. I am the bearer of some extra delay news here for this region. Australia will have 2 waves. Wave 1 is going out now, for many backers. Wave 2 is a batch of Legendary elemental editions that is en route back to Australia as soon as possible. If you have one of the copies affected, you will get a personal email from me, letting you know. Aetherworks is an amazing ally and will rush these copies as soon as they get them in hand. Thanks to all for your patience and understanding!

FAQ
Ok, you remember everything we've told you since the summer of 2019, right? No? Not to worry - now that you've got the game (or will get it very soon), you'll have new questions, and we're here to answer them! For gameplay questions - Luke is on Dwellings BGG answering these to help you out!
Here's a quick rundown of some frequently asked component logistics:
I cannot find my hidden mercenary! That's because we hid it! You'll no doubt find the corresponding card and rulebook info first, but never fear - the mini and standee is there too. More on this in the next section.
Wooden tokens - markings on the finish. We have discovered there are markings/spots that appear as if paint has been removed, but actually scratch off cleanly to expose a perfectly fine token. This is not to say there cannot also be a bad token, but try to clean these off first if any blotches.
My pledge did not includeeverything! Note that Minotaur, sleeves, wooden tokens, GameToppers mat, Meeple Source painted resources and Dogmight dice trays were all add-ons that cost extra in the pledge manager. If you missed ordering, we are sorry to hear! Please understand some were a limited order just for the campaign, and we held the backerkit open many months. There may be limited supply on some items at Breaking Games. You can inquire at Breaking Games, or sign up for updates at www.DwellingsofEldervale.com
I regret not backing Deluxe or Legendary! Of course, we would have loved everyone to go in for Legendary copies at the time, and know some could not do so or did not know what they would think of the game. We are flattered by the recent reception and renewed interest! We did not make an "upgrade kit" per se due to the complexities of production. If one becomes available, it would likely be if Dwellings of Eldervale gets a future Kickstarter. If you sign up on the Dwellings site mentioned above, you'll be in the know for the latest Eldervale news!
I have a replacement parts issue! Who do I notify? Breaking Games has a customer service request form! Keep in mind that there will be a few weeks of chaos shipping games here before the fulfillment teams regain order and and ship individual parts. Fortunately, Eldervale is built flexibly given 8 factions with a max player count of 5. And, almost anything can stand in for anything else. But, Breaking Games Customer Service will respond to all requests!
The sound bases canbe VERY TIGHT! We wanted the minis to fit snug... they do, perhaps a bit too much so. USE CAUTION when pressing these together. Please be a bit lighter on the combo until these are worn in. Some tips we got from a minis painter: 'magic erasers make some of the finest grit sandpapers. Also, using a tiny amount of cooking oil/spray may make it a bit looser on any tight connection, as needed'.

So the cat is out of the bag/box. Except it's not a cat. Or a cow. Or IS IT?? Please keep in mind that many, many people do NOT have their game and want to be surprised. To respect them, in public posts, please avoid, saying "Where is the xxxxxxx" hidden? (naming the xxxxxxx). And if you're posting pics or comments about the xxxxxxx, please add typical spoiler notices.
That said, we do know that it's a live game, and this is a game piece. To anyone who sees the mercenary surprise or come across this topic in any post now - know that this is the moment it will happen. We didn’t tell people what not to share, there isn’t instructions for this part....
There’s a card, a standee, several spots in the rulebook, and people might start playing the game, so it's inevitable! Just know that when you open yours, it's still special!

Dwellings of Eldervale: Progressing Well

Hello everyone,
Things are moving along well in Eldervale! Games have started arriving at fulfillment centers and will continue to do so through October.
Mats
Canadian backers should be receiving their mats around now. The US backers should be getting them early - mid October. All other regions, your matt will arrive with the game.
Change of Address
At this point, the addresses are locked in. If you will be at a different address than what we have, you should utilize a mail forwarding option with your postal service.
Dice Trays
The Custom Dice Trays from Dogmight look fantastic and are in production now. They should be getting to backers within a couple of months. Yes, we can't wait either!
