Hey Dwellers of Eldervale,
We are soooooo close to Vampires here in Eldervale! Maybe that's why we're looking at unlocking that in the night (here in US)? This represents our 14th playable faction, super excited to embrace the darkness. Thank you for spreading the word. The cult of the NightQueen... thanks you.
Can you believe this game has pirates and ogres, elves and atlanteans, cat people and clerics, dwarves, ratlings, shadow demons, valkyries and more? We can't either - it's so cool! And we have trolls and centaurs coming too!
Roll Player is so good - it is the kind of game that you kick yourself for not designing and/or Kickstarting! (Well I do!) The day I found it I was relieved though, as I thought - well there's a game I don't have to make now, I can just back it! It's excellent, accessible to a ton of gamers and replay is huge. Keith and I joked because he does have monsters and does have a minotaur, and while we didn't find an Eldervale connection yet, who knows in the future! If you have not seen this campaign, give it a look in the final hours - so much epic stuff is now unlocked!
Social Goals Update - 2 UNLOCKS, NEW MAP!
BGG subscribers at 500 - FIRST GOAL UNLOCKED! Awesome work! There's a poll now on BGG to pick the elemental track we ascend towards a social goal. Looks like Fire is in the lead, get your vote in now!

ADDED A MILESTONE for Discord joins - if you join the Dwellings of Eldervale Discord channel and say hello, we'll count it! Just 20 hellos to unlock another track position!
MONSTER BATTLES - CHAOS WINS ONE (The Arcane Thrasher) and Darkness (The Haunting Phantom) battled it out! With the Darkness Cult locked up still, the forces of Chaos prevailed in a very very close battle! This means that the Thrasher moves on to fight again, and we've unlocked one more step on the Chaos Track social goal! The map is updated! (What is this prize? - a random outcome, it will be a fun roll of the dice on camera I think!)
In honor of the chaos win, here's an adventure card from CHAOS - the Temporal Flux!

This is an updated picture of Dice Trays, just to show a few more colors. Pink dice not included, lol! (Thanks to Dogmight for producing early samples!) These will be available in 8 colors, one for each element in the game (so green, red, blue, light blue, yellow, charcoal, natural and purple! ...and a neutral realm wood color for the ruins!
Remember, 4 trays are the same price in shipping!UPDATE: We'll make that same shipping for 5 trays, because this is a 5 player game! For anyone considering, I think solid ways to go are either 1 tray ($16 plus shipping), or 4/5 trays for full player count in your fav colors ($64 or $80 plus the same shipping!) or get the full set of 8 or 9 ($128 or $144 and 2x shipping). These trays are one-of-a-kind, just for tKickstarter

Hello Dwellers of Eldervale!
What amazing progress! We're now over 3,000 backers and have reached $320,000 in funding! We have unlocked so many goals that the elves that make the stretch goal map needed to make a new one! Epic things are coming up in Eldervale!
AND NOW there's a social goal map as well!
Unlocked - New Gameplay Modes
This unlocked goal represents all the game variants that Luke is adding to Dwellings of Eldervale. Luke is always pushing for a better and better experience in the game! Some new tests have worked, some haven't of course. As an advanced play mode, we've tried out drafting - first with Adventure cards - but that wasn't right. Magic cards however work great - these can benefit from an early game selection which doesn't add much time to start up, and gives you chance to focus your game.
Let's play a game - here's a starting hand. Which card would you keep, passing the rest to the left? (cards summed up below graphic)
Natural Abode - spell (earth level 1), when you dwell, construct for free
Great Wall - prophecy, points at end game for connected dwellings
Recruit - spell, your next worker summoned for free
Healing - gain a point per unit in Underworld and they return to ready
Fireball - spell, play before combat to add 2 dice
Unlocked - Aura Adventure Cards
We're so excited to bump up the count of adventure cards again, this time with Auras. We're adding 8 new cards, one per element, to the game!
Auras work like enchantments for your tableau cards. When you acquire an Aura, you may assign it to another card that requires worker placement actions. (You can also wait to do this). Once assigned, it will change what happens when you activate that card. You can also move an attached Aura card by paying the cost of the Aura.
Each Aura plays very differently! This set includes "Chaotic" (Chaos), "Underwater" (Water), Wind Powered" (Air), "Burning" (Fire), "Wild" (Earth), "Radiant" (Light), "Dark" (Darkness), and "Structured" (Order).
NEW SOCIAL GOALS!
BONUS, COOL STUFF to unlock! We wanted to make sure that we got a chance to get some extra perks outside of our main stretch goal map. We've open up 8 new goals - one for each element. What shall we go after first??
Unlock each item either with specific elemental objectives or overall goals. Let us know any questions and have fun sharing! The social goals are already progressed due to our FB/BGG monster battle votes - we've got 4 already (water, darkness, chaos and earth all won a monster fight).

Hello Dwellers of Eldervale!
This is going to be the biggest update yet! Ready?
First we had cats, now Cthulhu**?? (**close enough!) We just crossed the 300K funding mark (WOW!) and we couldn't be more excited to see the 13th playable faction is unlocked - the Servants of the Eye, a CHAOS faction! We also have this fitting Legendary monster to reveal:

UNLOCKED - new playable faction!
THE SERVANTS OF THE EYE! Emerging from the Portal at any moment, the CHAOS ELEMENT gains double the power! Now whenever you choose to play Chaos, you can actually flip your player mat to either the Ratlings of the Swarm side or now to the Servants of the Eye side. The Eye worshippers have a special wizard and a special dragon, both of which are highly interactive. This faction is on the challenging side as it requires you to pay attention to everything for the optimum moments to meddle.
Designer tip! Keep a close eye on the adventure cards collected by your opponents so your Chaos Sorcerer can make use of them. Thwart your opponents' efforts to Dwell using your Dragon's tentacles.
LEGENDARY MONSTERS REVEALED!
Preview ALL Legendary Tier Monsters!Mark Streed at the Dice Tower was able to check out the game at Dice Tower Con this year and crushed as the Ogres. Now, he takes a look at the Legendary Monsters - not just the next one we were going to reveal here, but we let him sneak peek them all! You can see them all now too!
You'll notice that you can now hear each monster's sound! Thanks again to Anthony Hansen for the fun huge monster sounds, and to Christian Strain on our team for making this great video featuring each one:

GROUP PLEDGES /SHIPPING IMPROVEMENTS!
We continue to improve shipping rates! Germany and other EU shipping rates are now reduced thanks to conversations with Spiral Galaxy. The EU zones vary greatly, so we'll be making a more up to date chart in the FAQ, or you can inquire with us for specific rates. New Zealand is lowered due to VFI, and we'll keep on it!
Group pledges! We have heard from groups wanting 2, 6 and 20 or more copies of the game. Certainly this is a big savings in shipping, but we also decided to offer an incentive to groups specifically for 6 copies, and another break at 24 copies. All we ask is that you get everyone in your group to BACK THE KICKSTARTER, and we'll reduce the cost of these big boxes for the effort!
We'll also facilitate BGG groupings and/or jump in and help with pairing backers to other backers as we can! Let's get everyone in on this game!
The Dwellings of Eldervale Game Mat by Game Toppers is getting more and more amazing looking. Thanks to Sasha for continuing to make a one-of-a-kind piece of art as the setting for your game. We might even have a sample version at Gen Con (stay tuned).
In the meantime, we have heard from many of you for additional countries added beyond US/Canada and also for another size if possible. Please help us narrow down the countries and sizes by filling out this SURVEY.

Hello dwellers of Eldervale!
Over the holiday in the US, we continued gaining backers and funding, and this campaign is making fantastic progress! We reached the 12th playable faction (seriously, 12!) at $280,000! And we are over 2,700 backers strong! Thank you all for the support!
More updates coming soon on group pledges, EU shipping rates, full sound fx video and social goals. But we had to celebrate with a light update, now that cats are roaming Eldervale.
UNLOCKED - Pride of Bastet - a new playable faction
THE PRIDE OF BASTET! Deep within Eldervale, the LIGHT ELEMENT just gained double the power! This means that when you choose the light starter card, you can actually flip your player mat to either theClerics of the Dawn side or now to the Pride of Bastet side. The Pride have a special wizard and a special warrior. This faction is a moderate challenge. After you are used to the game, you will love the flexibility offered by both the wizard and warrior. Especially controlling someone else's Minotaur or monster!
Designer tip! Draw your strongest foes to the light, and use them to crush the weak. Blind Monsters to make use of Realms your opponents fear to tread.
Our new LIGHT faction is community named, and we're excited about that! We asked what you might name these "cats with swords that ride bugs" (thank you Michael Haller for calling it that) in our Facebook Group, and we got tons of ideas. Thank you sincerely to all who contributed. Michael Dunsmore picked the combo of words out of the suggestions that stuck, and the Pride of Bastet is here. Now, if YOU would like to join in, we're looking for inspiration HERE on Facebook for an upcoming faction known for it's Vampire Wizard and sacrificial workers...
Other Facebook fun includes "Which elemental monster would win?". the artists for Water and Fire (Saša Radivojević and Sam Turner respectively) got into the fun! Today we are asking about AIR vs EARTH monsters!
On BGG, we are also having polls, namely one Monster choice poll for how to pick starting monster, if you have more than one available per element. A random thematic monster emerging from the lair when discovered seems to be winning the day!

Dwellings of Eldervale recently toured Dice Tower Con, (thanks to backer Jim Pridgen!) getting quotes like "game of the con" on twitter, and backer Joshua Crouch wrote this review/testimonial on BGG, saying things like "Every single one of your friends will find something they like in this game... hands down the best game I played at Dice Tower Con..." Thanks for putting that review out there Jd.
And Vernon Piper, a painting pro with the Dice Tower told us that "if minis showed up, they will be painted!" and true to his word, he painted away, every night of the show, leaving us with photos like this one...

The Stonehelm Dwarves face the Pride of Bastet
“Greetings, my diminutive friend.” The cat person facing me was dressed as a warrior, but he didn’t act very intimidating. No hissing threats or brandishing of weapons. Gundar and Torina were working nearby, but I doubted I’d need their assistance.
“I am Ancar” he said, “of the Pride of Bastet. We strive to bring peace to the land, harmony and unity among all peoples. Would you terry a while and converse with me, my new friend?”
He seemed kindly enough, but dwarves do not rest while there is work to be done. “I am grateful for your offer, but I have been tasked with finding the treasures of the elders for the glory of Stonehelm, and I’d best be on about my business.”
“I must ask you to abandon your quest,” he purred. “This land and all it contains is claimed in the name of the light. But if you join with me, we need not have conflict.”
Ah, I saw his game now. “Stand aside, Ancar of the Pride of Bastet, or feel the weight of my hammer!”
The warrior called out in a growl that filled the air. “Join me, friend of the light!”
And wouldn’t you know it, the fire breathing dragon of the ogres came flapping over the dunes! It would seem this Pride can enthrall the weaker races. By my beard! We dwarves shall not fall prey to this devious magic.
Still, a dragon is a dragon. I called for Gundar and Torina. It appeared I might need some assistance after all.

Now isn't that something you just want to go out and light up the night sky full of fireworks about???
Awesome work! - we crushed $250,000! AND 2500 members too, which is even more meaningful! We're on our way to even more epic unlocks for this game. Next week, we'll start some fun social goals to really start the fireworks in Eldervale!

Legendary Echoes!
And now for another Legendary reveal - the Golden Gryphon! Since we are on our way to visit the Pride of Bastet of the LIGHT realms, let's bask in the light that this monster gives all weary dungeon visitors!
Last but not least - as mentioned above - check out the work in progress rulebook for SOLO mode! These ghosts will haunt you, take your resources, grab the best Dwellings spots right before you can, and they will come for you from the Underworld!
